Maya Brstilo
MPCC-P Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling
Maya is a Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling (MPCC-P), a somatic therapist, and a craniosacral therapy practitioner. Her work is rooted in relational and somatic, body-oriented approaches, with an emphasis on the connection between mind, body, emotions and lived experience.
Her approach has been deeply influenced by the work of Dr. Gabor Maté, Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, and Dr. Richard Schwartz - particularly their understanding of trauma, emotional patterns, and the ways our experiences shape both the mind and body.
Many of the clients she works with understand themselves intellectually, yet feel stuck in patterns of exhaustion, physical or mental tension, overwhelm, anxiety, or disconnection from themselves. At the core of her work is a deep belief in people's capacity for change. Hardship can be deeply painful. She believes that with the right support, awareness, and therapeutic relationship, it can become an opportunity for healing, growth and transformation.
Sessions are 75 minutes long to allow space for deeper reflection and meaningful therapeutic work.
